    Its a typical karan johar movie with all the bells and whistles...
    songs are pretty catchy and so are the characters in the movie.

    Its a good movie to pass some time, not for someone who watches a movie for some brain activity :)

    The movie had some rich spoilt kids....who are studying in some fantasy world(coz atleast i have never ever seen school like shown in this movie)..they wear branded outfits...drive expensive cars..and live in palaces like home....all they do in school is sing songs and dance....And go together for a wedding celebration all the way to thailand.....thats it..no story full boredom....didnt expected this from Karan Johar atleast!!!

    this movie is supposed to be based on teenagers ,their lives,their relationships,but the actors in the movie do not act & look like teenage school students .So the entire set up goes wrong.It could have been a lil better if the backdrop was a college .The concept of Student of the year competition in the movie is very sad & the movie has no element of reallity.Very sad,we expect much more from karan johar

    STOTY has been a hyped movie of late with new comers debuting in it. Storyline is like college days form most KJo movies but the only attraction in this one is Sweet AALIYA in sexy shorts and her sexy voice over. Dubbing has been exceptionally good by her even in lovemaking scenes. She has the material to become a sexy siren and I am sure she can do well in bipasha like item song. Waiting for it.

    Imagine you are in your late 20's and after a long time you met your old school/college friends. So you are looking for some fun and you chose to go to a movie in the new multiplex in your city. So basically you are looking for some fun with your old friends.

    Here you have 'Student of the year'. painfully predictable, unthinkably cliche, dumb and cute heroine yet so much fun and somewhere a mild touch of sweet emotional school friendship story.

    It's a time pass movie... full of cliches. Make sure you don't spend too much on the tickets if you are going to watch it.
    The three new faces are good to look at but that's about it. Though Varun Dhawan looks most natural. At one point the movie felt like a mashup of typical Bollywood movies and the American TV series Gossip Girl with the plans, deceit and importance given to clothes and private jets!
    The movie disappoints truly in one sense, Rohan and Abhi do not share a kiss throughout the movie! And they keep saying this again and again "Kiss karega kya?" the bromance is incomplete!... read more
